Named after\u00a0legendary folklorist and musicicologist  <a href=\"http:\/\/www.loc.gov\/folklife\/lomax\/\" target=\"_blank\">Alan Lomax<\/a>, this four-legged hound tracks down folksongs\u00a0on the Melody Hound Express, traveling to\u00a0many regions of the United States. As befitting a dog, Lomax has the advantage of being able to hear tunes from very far away.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: x-small;\">Perhaps this show\u00a0will\u00a0introduce a whole new generation of children to participatory folk music.
