Oh how things have changed. Wikipedia is one thing, but it lacks the imprimateur of scholarly review. If you can&#8217;t get yourself to a university library, but still want to dig deep into folklore research, there is a handy alternative.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>We were delighted to learn about\u00a0a new resource that makes folklore books,\u00a0journals, and gray literature (things like white papers and policy materials, conference programs, presentations,\u00a0syllabi, and teaching materials)\u00a0available to all via the internet. It was developed by the  <a href=\"http:\/\/www.afsnet.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">American Folklore Society<\/a>\u00a0and the  <a href=\"http:\/\/www.libraries.iub.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\">Indiana University Libraries<\/a> and it is called  <a href=\"http:\/\/www.openfolklore.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Open Folklore<\/a>.
